Thoughts from Orlando Advocare Invitational trip

The Florida St game on Friday afternoon had the feel of an NCAA tourney game. I honestly think we brought more fans than Florida St did, and the team def fed off the noise we made. The run we went on in the second half was the most fun I had at an LSU sporting event in quite some time.
Although the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, that game showed what this team’s potential can be. Florida St is easily a sweet 16 caliber team, and we went toe-to-toe with them.
Oklahoma St game was a young team sleep walking through a game after a devastating loss. Not acceptable but a fact. Hopefully, they learn from this and it motivates them to bounce back better after future losses.
Obviously, there are things that need fixing, and Coach Wade knows that. He made it clear tonight during his show. Now, it’s a matter of the team buying in.
Can’t wait to see how the team continues to improve heading into conference play in January.

The players on this team have to know there roles. That’s not happening right now. As much as I love Wade, he has to take a stand on what’s expected of every player on every possession. Kinda like Dale Brown with crazy talent but not knowing how to make it work.

I just knew once it went to OT that we were losing on a last-second shot. I hated being right. Same feeling I had against NC State a couple years ago.
Hoping that heartbreaking loss early means we win one of those in an NCAA tourney game later.

Yea, the loud LSU chants really drowned them out.
Villanova’s fans did the same thing to them on Sunday with a loud “let’s go Nova” chant. They brought a TON of people.
