No nonsense? He sits in the corner chewing his fingers. I know of at least 3 calls that were made by the umpires that were not even challenged. Everytime he is on camera he has that glare stare. I just don't see any fire left in him and this team is playing up to the skipper. Maybe he needs an energy drink before the game, a cup of coffee, anything to get the blood flowing.

no it doesn't. yes, a coach is responsible for the season but is not responsible for a players performance in a game.
this "blame the coach for everything" narrative is bull shite. the players play the game and when they frick up THEY are the ones responsible.
