So you're saying that a one loss Alabama team, which did not win the conference should not play for the NC, even if all other conference champions have 2 or more losses? Remember, this is only a sceneiro.

Again, all I am sayin is that there are several ways in which a team who does not win the conference could play for a NC.

Would they? Yes they would under the current rules. Should they? No. I'm telling you how I believe it should be. It should be a hard and fast rule that if you don't win your conference, then you don't go unless your conference champion is in. There is no scenario you can create that can get around how I think it should be. None...

If we had a 4 game playoff and an undefeated team lost in the first round to a 2 loss team, would you be all in a snit because they couldn't play in the championship game? My rule is no more arbitrary or unreasonable than this.
