There's a two-part interview attached below with the man I firmly believe should be the next HC of LSU. The man is a proven winner, a great motivator, knows how to get the most out of his players, and knows how to have fun.

Part 1

Part 2

"You only have one year to set your culture and you cannot compromise that culture at all or you'll lose them as you move forward."

This guy has the same philosophy as me:
Culture beats scheme

Here's to hoping we can somehow get this man into BR as the head coach of LSU

Fleck won't come here. He just signed a deal with Minnesota and he's not the kind of guy to "Lane Kiffin" a program.

We'll end up with Frank Wilson if we really do change coaches and I don't think that's a bad thing.

How in the world is Wilson an upgrade from O? What has he done to warrant giving the reins to him? We screwed up once, why repeat that with Wilson?

The dude just took over Minnesota and he lost by a small margin. And atleast he has a vision for the program, unlike a certain cajun in br

I'd wear a Gundy mullet wig to games if this happened

My short list would be something like:

Fuente
Frost
Kelly
Morris

No particular order. I think these guys would be ambitious enough to be interested in the job (Kelly maybe not- just depends on how badly he wants to be back in coaching). Despite the allure of all things LSU, it'll be hard to convince a guy to come up here if we've just fired a coach after one season. Firing O is absolutely the right call in my mind, but it'll have some consequences.

It may just save the program before it's completely in shambles tho

I completely agree! The benefits are worth the consequences.

Have to get rid of Alleva first. Then you call Bob Stoops. If that doesn’t work you call Chip Kelly. Then you try to get Fleck. After that you can look at guys like Fuente and Gundy, even though I don’t think those two would come here.

I still like Mike MacIntire. What he’s doing with that heap of talent is impressive.

Durkin just took over a terrible Maryland team. Beat Texas on the road and Minnesota with his 4th string qb

Maryland has always had talent, they've never had the hc in place. And texas isn't a good team.
