As a Cub fan since before Theriot was born I have been pleasantly surprised by the extent of his success.
However, he really needs to shore up his fielding. He slipped a bit with the glove last year and his arm is average at best for a major league SS.
The Cubs have a very hot and higly touted 19-year old prospect waiting in the wings and while .284 is solid Ryan doesn't hit for much power and doesn't walk as much as he used to back at LSU so he can't slip anymore in the field...he needs to work hard at shoring that up.
