Bullfrickingshit, he was run off because he was losing games, and had lost the players, quit scripting this to make your argument sound valid

What better POSITION to be in than be at the FREE THROW line and only have to make TWO free throws to ice the game. What better position to be in than to make a simple layup to ice the game. I guess that's all CJJ doing.

All I know is that is Alleva's fault. Wimp at the top of the hill ruins everything.

It was a heartbreaking loss Thursday night. But the loss doesn't fall solely on one player or coach. That was a team loss. I'm sure Jones could have done something to give the team a better chance at victory, be it time outs, substitutions or running different offensive plays or defensive alignments. But for Gods sake, the players have to make those free throws. LSU only needed two of the damn things!

Building any new program has many moments where the players and team are not comfortable being in a position they have never been. Along the way fans will pile on with their negativity after any loss and local news writers will find opportunities to get exposure with over reacting journalism to bring exposure to their writing.
What a great season to build on for next year! We finally have a great coach who is growing along with his players. I'm excited about watching this team in 2016.

at the beginning of the season, most would have been happy with a winning SEC record and a place in the Tournament.

This article nails it. Jones title should be Head Recruiter. There is no mental toughness or leadership evident.

take this team by the throat and holler " No! It's not happening again"

How mentally tough a team is depends on the coach. This is taught, by example, by practice, and by lectures.
Have you guys ever coached or dealt with kids at any level above 5 years old? A coach can have some influence, but cannot by any amount of lecturing or practice fundamentally change who a kid is. These kids are really good players who basically collapsed when the stage got too big. The only possible way to fix that is to get on the big stage a lot, and to recruit a lot of good players. The stage then looks smaller, and there hopefully is a clutch guy or two in there.
This team lost when it felt it's whopping lead slipping away and began to feel all the weight in the world on their shoulders. I hated watching it, and agree it was miserable.
But no amount of holleringwas going to change that, and you cannot practice that kind of pressure.
This program is in better situation than its been in a long time. Let's not tear it down after our first NCAA bid in a long while.

He was also a philanderer, an adulterer and a drunk.

Exactly!!
Complain bout the coaching when the team doesn't shoot 40% from the field and 54% from the line in a NCAA tournament game in which #8 plays #9 and we lose by 1.

While the teams' records have improved every yr, can you honestly say that this team improved from game to game this yr?
LSU absolutely improved over the course of the season

Points I observed during the season.
1. We have/had if Martin leaves, two of the best frontmen in div.1. One's a scorer the other a block artist.
2. Decent bench players who can score but not really consistant.
3. Guard play imo, was our achilles heal. When on, we played really good. When not, it seemed we struggled, and defenses just sagged and made it hard for M/M to deliver.
4. CJJ has to figure out how to stop the stupid turn overs, and instill or recruit a top notch play maker who can be his coach on the court.
5. I liken CJJ to Daddy Dale. He's a nice guy, can recruit, but just doesn't have the x's and o's to get to the elite status.
6. Hopefully this was a stepping stone, and if we keep our nucleus and they mature a little along with whats coming in next year, we'll forget about this in time.

Just look at the picture from the game winning shot. Mickey and Martin couldn't even jump both especially Mickey. Why. Because Mickey was totaly spent from playing all those minutes. JJ needs to give the backups minutes. I see the same scene to take place next year. No Bench no glory
