The remaining schedule

LSU is in a unique position with the remaining schedule. Ole Miss is not hiring Luke. Tennessee, Arkansas, & A&M could also either have interim coaches or coaches on the verge of being fired. This should be advantage LSU but because Ed is Ed LSU could blow all 4.The "potential" for 8 wins is there but the potential for 8 losses is just as likely. Realistically, we dont beat Auburn or Bama.
The safe bet: We beat O's past employers: Ole Miss, Tennessee & Arky. We lose to Auburn, Bama & A&M, finish 7-5 and end up in some obscure post Christmas bowl.

Let's slow it down a bit. They just beat a bad Florida by the skin of their teeth. Not ready to call another win at this point

LSU desperately needs momentum going into 2018. 7-5 doesn't give the program anything. From a "did they improve" standpoint it's not much different from 5-7.

We will be damn lucky to go 7-5.
This year is a developmental squad no mattter how you slice it.
If we go bowling, at best we are 7-6 and maybe 6-7
