So your saying you want Lee in there right. He may be 3 for 3 but look how dam scary he looks when he gets in. I'll take JJ anytime.

Look at Jacory Harris. In his fifth start, balls were thrown on time, he saw the whole field, and could make any throw on the field. You can argue what you want about any talent difference between the two--but when it comes to playing the position of quarterback, JH was doing many more things right than Jefferson.

Jacory struggled plenty last year. That's why he split time at QB most of the year.

I have never been a fan of platooning QB's, but at this point it wouldn't be a bad idea to let JL share time with JJ and let's see if that might open up the offense a bit. Against the better teams we are F'ed with JJ unless he develops the ability to go down field in the next couple of weeks. Despite his propensity for throwing interceptions, JL has proven he can go deep with some accuracy.

A lot of people seem to have expected Jefferson to be throwing 280 yds/3 TDs per game from the git go. They also expected our o-line to be as good as the best in the SEC. At this point, what some people need to reevaluate is not the team, but their own inflated expectations. I'm a dumb shite when it comes to analyzing football, but even I could see JJ was going to have ups and downs this season: guaranteed he's gonna have a game or two this season where he looks like a Pop Warner QB out there. It's called the learning curve, and he's going to ride it like most 19-year-olds leading an SEC team for the first time. Moreover, I figured our o-line, with two new starters, including an undersized center, was going to be ... what's the word ... how about "challenged" ,,, this season.
I think Jefferson will be fine in the long run. Our o-line ... well, I hope they'll be one of the better SEC lines by the end of the season, that's about all I can say. I'm also staying with my preseason 9-3 prediction--and looking forward to seeing how the season plays out.

Thanks for reminding me about the Ole Miss game, the Bama game, the Georgia and Florida game. Yes Im soo in favor of benching a guy who DOESNT HAVE A PROPENSITY FOR THROWING INTERCEPTIONS for a guy who does with "some" accuracy throwing the deep ball.
JJ will get better with his timing. With JL he had problems reading defense or making good decisions. Im not in ANY mood to bench JJ for that.

Show me whatever stats you want to, but there is no question who is running a better offense. Harris has done that in two games against Florida State and Georgia Tech, while Jefferson has done it against Washington, Vandebilt, and ULL.

This thread isn't meant to become a JH vs. JJ thread. It is about the future problems that we will face because of Jeffeson's slow decision making and subpar ability to throw downfield.

And didnt LSU and Clemson torch GTech's defense?
All im saying is this, two different teams, two difference qb's and what nots.
If we switched players there is no guarantee either will have same/better/worse stats than they did before. What matters is the result.
Micheal Jordan once said that he would take a game where he went 1-50 from the field if that 1 was the one that one the game. Winning the game is what matters most. This isnt the heisman race.

The Oline didn't cause JJ to throw a pick on a deep ball. He threw another duck to Randle that was almost brought down, but surely would have been intercepted by better SEC corners. Bama and Florida will creep their safeties up and destroy the offense, because in all honesty, JJ doesnt have the touch on the longer throws to make anyone worry. He has the arm strength to progress, he is no hatch.

Not every short pass is called. We probably call many similar plays. Our quarterback just throws more short passes than theirs. Oh and yes, I guess it's fine as long as he beats ULL.
