LSU also = Texas and Florida the last 10 years....actually, probably better than UT considering we haven't had a losing season.
And this year we're better than all of those. And if you say you'd actually like to trade places with UT right now than your obviously just trying to stir the pot......but that's what Lacour does.

When it comes to facilities, history, statistics, championships, and post season play, LSU is an elite program.
When it comes to public perception, we are not. Nationally, people look down on LSU for some reason, despite success on the field. Why is this? I'm not sure. I seem to think it has a lot to do with our mediocrity that began in the late eighties and lasted until we won the Sugar bowl in 2001. I think people remember this period when they think about LSU. I think it also has to do with the fact that both of our recent national titles were not NC's in the traditional sense. (split title with USC, first 2 loss NC) Had those been 14-0 seasons with no controversies, the media's perspective of LSU, may be different. If LSU continues to post 10 win seasons as often as we are, the perception will begin to change. We need to win the SEC soon though.

You can't really be saying ND had a better decade than LSU?
ND is one of the all time top 5, no doubt but what have they done in the last two decades?
You know Army used to be unbeatable, right?
Princeton and Yale and some Jr. College in Ca at one time were the top programs on the planet.
How is that relevant to great programs as of today.
LSU has the history (top 10) and has been GREAT for the entire decade, winning 2 National Championships and are currently 10-2 looking at a NYD (or better) Bowl Game.

What happened to Texas this year was beyond belief. I would be outraged if I were a UT fan. Probably the most fertile recruiting bases, more money than any other school.....unbelievable.
