I'm curious,

If the reports are true, that Jimbo is indeed getting a 10 yr, $75 million contract with a ridiculous buy out, essentially making him the "hundred" million dollar man,

and with all the hate that has been thrown out there towards Alleva for not signing Jimbo, has your position changed now that you know the price tag? What would have been your response had Alleva made that offer?

LSU could have had him for 6 million and 5 years.

$7.5 x 10 years is $75M. The buyout is if he doesn't reach 10 years. It's to protect his salary.

Not even close to $100M

So many uninformed people around here

Eta: he isn't getting any of the buyout to FSU

This year at Florida State proves that Jimbo is not worth that kind of money.

Keep telling yourself that. Lsu fan catastrophe syndrome. Orgeron is the only coach that wanted to be at LSU I guess.

Best coach that would leave his current school. Won a NC. Has won 10 games 6 of 8 seasons in a better conference than the SEC currently. Heisman winning QB. Number one recruiting classes. Yea he sucks because his starting QB went down and he lost 6 games.

A coach worth a 10 year deal does not lose 6 games when his starting QB gets hurt. Jimbo is literally fighting to be bowl eligible this year. Also, you’re high if you think the ACC is better than the SEC.

Sir, we don't know the final numbers especially what TAM will pay FSU. But whatever that number is, goes into the expense of getting Jimbo. Obviously, you've never run a business! Talk about "uniformed".

But notice how people aren't actually answering the question. I mean, it's pretty simple question really. Would you have supported LSU spending 100 million to get him here?

Well you will get your wish. Lsu fans will get to see first hand how shitty of a coach Jimbo Fisher is every year. I bet Orgeron is pumped that such a horrible coach got hired in our division.

Hell no. I’d take a chance on Coach O for 3 year $9 mil over a 10 year $75 mil contract for Jimbo any day of the week.

Good. It will make our annual Thanksgiving victory over Texas A&M that much sweeter.

Seeing as how he won't be getting that money, it's not part of his value.

It's a seperate expense. Would a loan origination fee be part of your homes value?

No way. Don't give a coach that kind of money until he has proven he can successfully run YOUR program.

You know who pays the most for coaches in the country? Clemson, Ohio State and Bama. Wanna win big? Pay big. A&M with Jimbo is scary. Jimbo has a shiny new toy in the ‘19 Class already committed in Grant Gunnell too.
