can we just all agree that jj is a talented qb with some weaknesses that need to be coached out of him. Thus fixing those weaknesses he will be a damn good qb. But if those aren't fixed(coaching) then he will remain a slightly above average qb. Now lets end this thread. And start another in 2 days. See ya there

How can you argue anything but numbers at this point? Was he perfect? No. Does he need to get better? Yes. But to suggest it's time to bench him is just stupid.

JJ fell into the starting roll and he can fall out of it...He didnt earn anything...What I would like to see is open competition and have them all play in the games. We have seen what JJ can do... he's not Whats so wrong, with giving a kid a shot...whats miles afraid of, what are you afraid of??? if you think RS or CG is gonna fail let them prove it...If they dont id be the first one back here saying ok stick JJ back in...RS has that it factor that V. young had in college...If I knew I had a potential Tebow-esk player on my team that played QB why would I wait 3 years to play him when I can play him now?...

It's amazing the bashing on this guy, and then a post on Barksdale keeps getting deleted.
Jefferson is out there on one leg against Ole Miss giving 110% and only gets ridicule for it, while players like Barksdale underachieve all year yet get a pass.

Have you seen RS throw a football in college yet? The few times they show him it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. His future is not at QB here I'm afraid.

Hasn't Les, Crowton, the players, every coach on staff seen what CG/Shep can do in practice and scrimmage. Stuff that "fans" are not allowed to view because they are closed.
Unless you are part of team, or on the coaching staff really all you are doing is offering an opinion. You have not seen the others while those who make the decisions have seen the other options. They have decided that Jefferson is best based on what they see on a DAY TO DAY basis.
Les knows he is paid to win games and will attempt to win them with who he feels best gives him that shot. He believes Jefferson gives him that shot, and while he has his problems he has been an upgrade over last year. Do LSU fans really expect the next Tebow or Vince Young to be on this roster? Player's who sat and waited their turn to start by the way as Young was red-shirted and actually was behind Chance Mock, while Tebow sat behind Leak.

then what are you afraid of? you really dont want him to prove you wrong...i bet your begging miles not to play him at QB...I saw the kid play 4 times in High School, throwing wasnt his strong suit, but he did throw a few long balls that were caught...how many long balls has jefferson thrown or have been caught for that matter? the way the play calling with jefferson is RS wouldnt have to throw the ball but 5 yards anyway...

Jesus. We're going down this road again? You've done nothing but question his character. You've bitched about his body language, facial expressions and lack of leadership. You want to talk about doing something when it's all on the line? What about having enough fortitude to even get us back in the Old Miss game despite our ridiculous play calling? Or when he led a game tying drive late in the 4th quarter against Arky? If you want to bitch about something bitch about the a-hole OC of ours that called a QB scramble late in the Ole Miss game and multiple option plays with a QB that has a busted ankle. THAT'S what you should be bitching about.

If I question is Character that means I would be questioning is WANT to get the Job done...That thought would NEVER enter my mind..I'm sure he is a great kid...and wants nothing but the best for his team...What I question is whether he has the ABILITY to perform in crucial situations to lead us to victory in close games...you wish you had me figured out..

ole miss, he spiked the ball, took the sack when he shouldnt have, got lucky when a 6'5 reciever out leaped everyone...plus penalties and rushing kept the drive going..
Arky game. i believe we got an outstanding return by mr. holiday and JJ only had to go about 30 yards to be in FG range....ok, ill give you 30 yards, but im curious to find out if any were rushing plays and penalties that helped us...
