If you weren't so laughably stupid you'd be way more annoying.

I've come to terms with it...as long as miles is at Lsu, we will have ground and pound. I don't like it, preferring a more open attack (it's what I've always used in my years of coaching). However, if it works so be it. It's not flashy or sexy....does have a tendency to be predictable...and will continue to draw the ire of some fans, but it is who Miles is. He's not going to change, nor am I suggesting he should. In the SEC you better be able to by god run the ball or you're gonna get punished.
My biggest bitch has always been our inability to routinely crush inferior opponents when we have the chance. Just wish Miles was a little more heavy-footed on the pedal sometimes.
More killer instinct might get us some breathing room in some games where we're clearly hogging the momentum ....thus making the occasional clock snafu/time out blunders less of an issue. Alas....one can only hope.

we've had a "ground and pound offense" (i prefer to call it a run-first offense) for a very long time. LSU didn't start this when Miles showed up

Anyone that knows football or had watching LSU football in the past can see that starting with Florida the offense started to revert back to more of a ground and pound attack

LSU threw the ball 88 times in the three games before Florida and 82 times the three games after Florida. Our passing offense gained 940 yards in the three games before Florida and 870 yards the three games after Florida.

You want to try again.

Looks like you are the one who doesn't know LSU football.

I know that Choc...I've been following the tigers since the 60s....and our offenses have looked remarkably similar for a long time. That doesn't mean I have like it on a personal level though.
I agree miles didn't bring it here. Again it's the predictability of it that I don't like. 3yds and a cloud will only take you so far.
That's why the last 2 years with mett/OBJ/JL have been a pleasant respite.
I only hope we give Dupre his share of balls this year.

I'm not sure what you're expecting...but running the ball and defense is how you win in the SEC. You have your rare exceptions but that's how it's been for awhile. Sorry that doesn't meet your standards coach

The decline is in fan behavior and support.

Too true. LSU has been solid since 2003. An entire generation of fans is growing up being entitled to wins. The fans don't stay they let a little ran scare them off they are super fair weather. They have forgotten the end of the Dinardo era when football was atrocious at LSU.

Really? We don't win big enough to please you? That's your big complaint? We have beaten our last 16 OOC teams not counting bowl games by an average of 5 TDs. That even includes non-inferior opponents.

Yeah, I can see how that would ready piss a fan off.

That type of offense was more conducive to that era, but in todays game it's prehistoric. I get tired of arguing with idiots on here about Miles' style of offense. They only see what they wanna see and have the nerve to call you a tard. Anyone can see Miles' is a throw back. Cameron had the team moving the ball like it hadn't done in a while probably since Matt Flynn was there, but Miles' preferred to go back to pounding the ball control style of offense because it is who he is.

and it started around Florida I don't give a damn what anyone says. Now he's got Jennings and Harris comin up. Two athletic QB's. I wanna see if he lets Cameron open it up or continue with the 3 yards and cloud of dust.

If you want to get pissed cause we only beat our last 16 regular season OOC teams but an average of only 5 TDs, knock yourself out.

I'm thinking most sane/rational fans wouldn't see that as much to get pissed bout, but each to our own.

There never was a fvcking decline
From undefeated regular season and the NC game in 2011 to #14 and high protein food bowls in 2012/2013. Currently behind Alabama and now Auburn in the SEC West. In my book, that's a fvcking decline. We've been in a fvcking decline ever since that abomination of a game in the Superdome.

So, any program that doesn't repeat as West Champs, SEC Champs, and BCSCG appearance is in a "decline"?

I guess that means LSU, Bama, and soon to be Auburn are all programs in "decline", huh.
