9-1 start to conference play

From 2/7/17 to 2/21/17 they went 1-4

Alabama- L (90-86)
@ MSU- W (77-73)
Arky- L (83-76)
@ Vandy- L (71-62)
@ #13 UF- L (81-66)

Finished the season 2-1 and went 12-6 in conference play

Bounced in the first round of SEC T to Alabama

Awarded 7 seed, went on to beat Marquette, Duke, Baylor, and UF

Literally anything can happen in March. We just have to get in and we will

Hell yeah, I hope that’s the case. Need to find a way to close out the season and break out of this funk. Said it in another thread but Saturday is a game we gotta have if we want to keep the season in tact. Feel like we’re at at tipping point

exactly, just get in. then anything can happen

that SC team was basically the opposite of this LSU team tho in that they were top 3 in defensive efficiency and pretty terrible on offense, while this LSU team is top 3 in offensive efficiency and pretty terrible on defense

That South Carolina team was:

#46 in the country in defensive efficiency
#3 in the SEC in defensive efficiency

This LSU team is:

#198 in the country in defensive efficiency
#12 in the SEC in defensive efficiency

Just a small difference

Just curious, you have the offensive comparison?

Because I remember that team being pretty mediocre offensively, but obviously defense is crucial in the tournament

Frank Martin is one of the best defensive coaches in the game. That basketball team shut teams down. When you play elite defense, all it takes is one player on offense to get hot and you have a deep run in the tournament. LSU's current team is dog shite at defense. These two teams are not remotely comparable. LSU is more likely to lose out then make a deep run in the tournament.

Except the players, Coaches, the players on opposition teams, and the programs have absolutely nothing in common. Other than that damn near identical.
