Big road win means a corner has been turned, no?

Yes and no. We still have to stop taking retarded shots in the 2nd half, which cost us the Xavier game.

We look very sharp in the first and early 2nd half, then all of the sudden Spencer jacks up 3s and Chris and GT are taking faders.

WOW... I am very surprised they won on the road. My hats off to the players and the coaches. Definitely a great win for the program!

Just thinking about this and we would have been better off to take the ball and run the shot clock down without a shot and give them ball back than what we have done from 14 minute mark to 4 minute mark the last 2 games

I believe the corner was turned the moment we hired Trent Johnson as our coach. The dude has our players playing some pretty good defense, and if we just had one big bruiser at center instead of gumby, we would be very tough to beat.

we are getting there. once temple learns the only good shot for him is a lay up we will be much better. we dont need him jacking up 3s or fade aways. We still have our times when we struggle bad to score but this team has some fight and heart in it. trent being hired started us turning this around and this team is getting better.

i agree with the person who said that we turned a corner when we hired johnson. next year will be rough without marcus, though. guys like him don't come around all the time. he's a real game changer.

With the exception of the Utah game, the Tigers have looked solid all season, I hope this road win is gets us closer to getting the tourney

Anyone know why Quinton Thorton didnt play?

QT has a achilles prob.....

this was a nice resumee win, mainly b/c it was a decent team on the road.....

as long as Tenn dosnt tankl rest of the year and we stay solid we are in......

11-5 isnt a far strectch for SEC and at 23-9 11-5 we wont be left out, at least 1 sec tourny win and its a lock.....

Yep. Moving in the right direction. Need to keep our composure in the second 1/2 and learn how to WIN games. Take care of the ball, good shot selection, no stupid fouls, etc.

We're are defenitely coming around that corner.

The program as a whole is turning the corner and its still evolving. I expected some success as far as wins were concerned going into conference play, but since then they have taken it to another level. Not too many fans would have thought they would have been 4-1 at this time in the SEC. Trent is getting a lot out of these guys and it seems they really like playing for him.

Any SEC road win is progress. I was so happy the team stayed composed late in the 2nd half. It could easily have gotten away from them. It was gut check time and they passed.

Hopefully, we can continue to improve because next season may be a little bumpy with the Seniors leaving. Who would have predicted we would be here at this point in the season?
