Honestly saying a QB is only succeeding because of a system is stupid. Who cares, if it gets a team wins why should it matter? A system made Tim Tebow look like football Jesus. So why not modify the offense to help your players succeed .

Please don't whack my thread. I'm just stating my opinion

Tebow didn't succeed in the league because the windows are tighter and he had a terrible throwing motion.

Colt Brennan threw for a million yards at Hawaii. System QB is a real thing.

I'm talking about college. If the kid ends up a bust in the NFL owell. That's why they evaluate talent

I think most people agree Cameron did a bad job of making the offense friendly to what the QB's do well. It was also unfortunate for LSU because Jennings had terrible accuracy on throws that every college starter should be able to make. He consistently missed them. Not being mean to the kid buy it is what it is. There were countless easy throws our QB's just flat missed this season. It was unfortunate all around. To be completely honest, with his accuracy, I don't know of a system where Jennings would have been exponentially better. The QB has to be able to make basic throws for any system to work.

Yep, kid couldn't complete a 5 yard out route. He got better on the read except for the fumble the other day. .. Harris ceiling is just way higher regardless of how unprepared he was you have to play him. What did we have to lose?

So what was the system problem with Flynn, Mett, and Russell?

I agree the offense was awful this year but if you're going to criticize miles for his failures, you have to r3cofnize successes.

I think the idea was that Harris wasn't at all ready which isn't out of the norm. If you put Harris in and he has a J Lee RS freshman season, you may ruin the ki .

then its not doing much to help players succeed

McCarron, Manziel, Shaw, Murray, Mett... there's a reason only one of them has had an immediate impact

You wanna wait the three years of ineptitude in between those years?

so 1 year of decent qb play in 7 years, that's awesome. the other 2 were coached by fisher.

Obviously, some QBs are better suited for some offensive systems than others, but no matter the system, the QB still has to make plays.
