the other thing is that Crowton cannot identify QB talent for shite. We got Mettenberger b/c of shitty qb talent analysis.

Miles is responsible for identifying QB talent too. NOt just Crowton. Nobody is going to get an offer unless Miles signs off on it. I'd imagine that's how it works at most programs.

Just give it another year. We may be able to really light up the scoreboard next year.

doesn't mean you have a bad offense or defense. For instance, you can still average 35 points/game offensively and rank low if every other team does better than you. 35 points/game is good. Now, that's not likely to happen but posting rankings regarding our total offense doesn't tell us anything about how many points/game we average offensively, which is important. Maybe not to you, but it is to me. You appear to care more about yards than points based on that.

50 years ago, when offenses barely scored any points, say an OC had an offense that scored 20 ppg and they ranked in the top ten in offense. Do you care more about the points per game now? See where the relative rankings are more important?

This applies today. If Gary scores 35 points a game, but the average scoring offense scores 50 ppg, then it is obvious Gary sucks.

Jefferson- delusional
Garrett-fatty
Shepard-WR/rb now

I already said "that's not likely to happen".

Still, total offense doesn't tell us anything about the amount of points we score on average per game.

But, you're using rankings that involve all D-1 teams, teams that play different competition than us and in different conferences.

If that were the case, in terms of SEC teams. Still, total offense rankings no matter how you spin it still don't mean much. Talk about how many yards we average per game, if yards matter more to you than points.

Yeah, I got better things to do also.

Really, what's the point in debating how do you measuring the suckiness of Crowton, when the point is, he has been sucky for 3 years.

This is how I would grade them out. If you replace Crowton and Stud with the right hires, you have an OUTSTANDING all around staff that is a top 5 staff in the country.

Fair assessment. Seems like a revolving door for the line coach. How many have we gone through

think about it...
RP..a thug, ok Ill say he made his own bad luck
JL... how many fresh qbs forced to play before they were admittidly not ready flourish?
JJ.... he just doesnt have what it takes to be a big time college football qb... high school isnt SEC., you have a point with him
Garrett... he wasnt a fatty last time he had on p&G
ZL... you gonna NOT recruit this guy?
ZM.. Im a firm believer 6th time is a charm.

It wasn't that bad in 2008. Yeah, Lee was all over the place with the pick 6's but we averaged about 31 points/game. Not bad with inexperienced QB.

But, the main point is whether or not we sucked the past 2 years because of Crowton or Jefferson or a little of both. It's not like JJ was some phenom coming out of high school.

No I didn't. They are both the cause of our suckiness.
