I just don't see him getting 2 starts in one week based no him only having one start. I think PM will want to see him succeed tonight over several innings, so 3 or 4. If he goes that far in the game I don't see any reason to start him this week. Give him a couple innings out of the pen on Sunday and then let him take the bump next Sunday against UW. We will see though.

I would say sooner rather than later to figure it out is better. If it works out this weekend, great, we have a rotation set for Washington series then going into SEC play. IF it doesnt work out, can go back to Bonvillain for Washington and figure out something else. If you wait till Washington series, and things dont work out, kind of left scrambling on Sunday going into SEC play. Might as well play around with it now. Maybe I'm looking into Mainieri's comments more than anyone else, just dont think why he would say he's throwing the bullpen against ULL if he doesnt have (this) weekend plans for Glenn.

I agree with you but my only line of thinking was that if he throws a few good innings tonight, it WILL be figured out going into the UW game next weekend. I just don't think Bonvillain is ready for the weekend yet, which we agree on. I just think if Glenn looks good tonight, there is no doubt that will be the way you want to go heading into the SEC.

How's UL this year?

I watched them one game, they can definitely hit the ball. We better show up and kick some arse.

I posted this in another tread.

ULL has an impressive 3.63 team ERA, compared to LSU's 2.43. ULL's batters have stuck out 54 times (6.75 per game). LSU is at 28 (4 per game).

RPI, LSU 26, ULL 29.

NPI, LSU 26, ULL 32.

SOS, LSU 41, ULL 47.

ULL has 1 more win than LSU, ULL has .004 higher batting average, and ULL has struck out more opposing batters. I suppose it might be a close game. We'll see how the midweek starters compare. I'm putting my money on LSU.

Stats mean nothing in a single baseball game IMO.

Not sure to be honest. I know Striker went to Acadiana and Blake went to Kinder

I know Blake's family and I don't think they are related. He's a solid little athlete.

I agree. I was only trying to answer the question "how good are they" quantitatively.
