My Thoughts...
Jefferson looked exceptional the entire 1st qtr. I can't believe more people aren't talking about this, especially the people that rewatched the game.
Spencer Ware has great vision, wouldn't be a shock to see more zone blocking from the OL, I think that sets up perfect for his running style. Gore looks to be a very elusive back, he should provide for a little excitement this fall.
Shep looks like a true WR now. I thought Randle looked good early but kinda got tired quickly, I know it was hot out there. But he's definitely the go to guy when they need a 1st. Boone, Wright and Fobbs all looked good at times it'll be interesting to see where Landry fits in when he gets on campus.
O-line looked solid, I thought both squads played well even though they didn't have to pick up any blitz schemes.
D-line looked great expecially Brockers and Mingo.
IMO, no one stood out in the LB unit maybe because they weren't allowed to blitz, but I thought Barrow looked good on a few plays. Really wish we could've seen Hatcher play.
LSU has so much depth in the secondary it's ridiculous. Simon looks like a great cover guy, Mathieu was excellent, so was Reid. And Vinson looked very good out there, he was all over the place, reminded me of a young Laron Landry.
Alleman looked great on kick-offs but did miss that 1 short FG. Hope they can give some young guys some opportunities on punt return. Would love to see Gore or maybe Odell Beckhan Jr. get some work there.
Overall the teams looks very talented. As always it will come down to execution and QB play. I'm extremely excited to see what these guys can do this fall and next because I strongly believe the 2012 team will be even better. Can't wait till September.

quote:QB position is one of the most important, but then again would you give a team like Miss State's QB all the credit for their outstanding season last year?
of the most important positions on a football team.

I would get all worked up over this Sring game stuff.... It's just a glorified flag football practice and nothing more.
I'm hoping for the best but will hold any non-positive comments about anyone until after the first real game of the season.
