Ridley is #1 going into the spring and there is no reason to think he won't be #1 in the fall. He has been working out like a maniac, is 100% healthy now, knows the playbook, and will be in the top 3 in total yards by a back in the SEC. Murphy will see plenty of action also. Ford will be zero factor this year for numerous reasons.

Ridley will be a beast this year if the OLine steps up like I think they will.

I love it. Charles Scott and/or KW should be starting over Jacob Hester. Ridley should be getting playing time over Charles Scott and KW. Ford should be getting playing time over Ridley and we shouldn't be wasting a RS on him. Ware/Gore/Blue should be starting and next year Hilliard is a special back and we just aren't sold on Ware yet.

Rantards at their best.

Ridley and Ford are 1&2. Murf is #3 and is still in Miles's dog house ( for what no one knows ).

Hate to say it but Murph may get hurt again, he runs straight up and is a viloent runner (one of the things I like about him) but he isnt very big, prob wont be able to take the punishment...He'll get the nod early this fall b/c of his age but I bet Ford and Ridley get the bulk of the carries. I highly doubt Ware will reshirt b/c of the two big time backs we got coming next year. It will just be later on in the year...

ask yourselves this question, when was the last time we redshirted a 5 star back or receiver?

Don't hold your breath.

Richard Murphy, with two total knee surgeries, is currently installed as the leading RB.

this logic still confuses me...so 3 years ago when young talent was not being played even tho they were better everyone would bitch about that, but now 3 years later, those same young players with superior talent are playing, and ppl are still bitching about that concept...how does that work if all those players that should have been playing are now playing and yet the younger ones are still better??? im so confused

Because hes not 230lbs to handle being a every down back and coming off two major injuries in his career?

Miles has always favored bigger backs.

Miles will have to showcase some freshman talent in order to avoid the reputation he is acquiring...not playing freshman.

I think by years end, barring injury, Ford will be the #1 back with Ware being #2.

he won't redshirt but he won't get much pt or be a factor either..imo just like randle and shep last yr..he'll finish with about 40 carries then this board will bitch about how he shouldve just redshirted

once again after bringing up this issue multiple times, no one has addressed it...these young players ppl wanted to play over seniors are now playing and people still want younger players to play over them...that makes no sense, why do ppl just keep assuming these freshmen are better

I've heard several people say this. What seems to be the trouble? Is he just not finding the holes yet?

What is there not to get?

When you have a freshman class come in, you play all of them. Then when the next 2 freshman classes come through, you cast them aside/kick them off the team so the NEW freshmen can play.

That is the proper way to build a football program. BOOK IT. LOLZ!

People want the freshman to play because they will gain valuable experience as underclassmen and gain knowledge of the playbook and the basic knowledge that they will need to play their position at a collegiate level. Then when they are Jrs/Srs, they can focus on the intracacies of their position and fully develop their skill-set.
