Plays coming in late, personnel issues, total confusion. When you get this far in the season and STILL have the same problems, you have a serious coaching issue. If your players can't run your scheme, you change the damn scheme regardless.

Aktig, you are certainly right there.

Anyone else think that Mallory (Co-Def Coordinator and Def. Backs Coach) needs to be demoted back to just Def. Backs Coach? You know, make sure he can at least do ONE job right?

I am not against retaining these guys, but I think LSU needs a total change in philosophy. This D has progressively gotten worse the last two years, not just this one. I would prefer to see new blood, but in the least change the leadership in the DC position.

Ill give the D coord. until the end of the year. Obviously we havent played well defensively this year. Im hoping at some point they get things figured out. I wouldnt mind keeping both D coord. as positional coaches. Keeps continuity in the program. They are also incredible recruiting coaches evidenced by our classes. I think if the team continues to struggle then we should look strongly at hiring a new DC. But you have to be careful what you wish for because we may just get someone worse.
