Softball wins in 14 innings

What a performance by Rachel Fico. 22 SO's in 14 innings. AJ Andrews "slapped" a HR in the top of the 14th. Tigers 1-0 winner. Whether you like softball you have to admit this is a great performance for any sport.

Ans struck out 4 in the 12th. Great that she put last weekend in the rearview. Tied SEC single game SO record.

That's right. The 3rd SO advanced to second on a third strike error on the throw to 1st. That could have been costly but Fico kept her poise and stuck out the 4th hitter.

LSU softball had hit a home run with this this coach. Great recruiter, great staff. Runs some great camps too.

Fico is just plain one of best athletes in college sports today. A very special player and we are proud to have her.
