The freshman need to grow, only way to do it is with mound time. This might be one of the reasons Gorsuch is struggling this year, because Hoover/Walljasper took on too many of the easier week day games in the past. I guess the trend continues.

I agree with you on Kilponen getting time but this may be overboard. Torina has gone to Kilponen multiple times in SEC play already.
I personally think Kilponen should be pitching a game like this but I am guessing they are using this game for confidence for Gorsuch considering she was not good at all this weekend. She got beat up bad by Arkansas and saw the hook in the first inning.
