I don't have any clue what happened so I won't speculate, but there were multiple reports of the staff meeting with Garrett about his effort. Miles mentioned in the Shreveport event several weeks prior that they had told CG that they needed him to step up and compete and he said he didn't think he was ready.

I wanted him at SLU, but we have Gavin Webster, so we should be alright. I am hoping Lucas will run the Wildcat with Webster in at QB. I am expecting big things from SLU this year. I believe they return all 11 on defense and 9 on offense. They lose Babin, but I think Beatty can do okay as long as they can block. If not, put Webster in.
