I understand the "why risk injury" argument... but as a fan, it sucks that players can just "quit" the team and choose not to play.
The trend may continue, but it will ruin the game if it goes too far.
When a star player chooses to bail out after a regular season loss or skip the playoffs... it's too much.

So it makes no difference in recruiting if lsu has a tarnished image from going 0-13 or 10-3. Neither team makes the playoff. If a few wins matter, so does one. This is SIMPLISTIC CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS, we have utter morons posting on this forum.

Now, the money and three extra weeks of practice that comes with it are incredibly valuable. The best thing about bowl outside of the ability to win an NC is the use of time to implement scheme and personnel for next year.
