and they do now? Perhaps you should tell ESPN so they could put a link to it on their 'College Sports' page.

perhaps you should tell the teams who keep building new stadiums. Just the fact thats its bigger in the SEC tells you its more competitive than back in the day

Hate to say it but Texas fan makes more sense than anybody else.
Not really, the thread is comparing Bertman to Garrido. All he says is that they are both good and that UT has more tradition than LSU. That actually further proves Bertmans superiority in that six of Garrido's CWS appearances came after he took over a well established program very rich in tradition and it still took him 35 years to match what Bertman did in 18.

Garrido is a VERY good coach, but someone is lying or ignorant if they say they would rather have him on their sideline than Bertman.

Overheard some discussions this weekend by each of the super regional announcers and they were talking about each. I think they are about even when it comes to coaching. What do you guys think?
I haven't read this thread, and I'm not going to read it. I am familier with Skip and the wonderful job he did at LSU. So, I would naturally say Skip. But, I am blind to the qualities of Augie, who is also a wonderful coach. I am just happy we had Skip. This discussion will not,and can not, reach any meaningful conclusion. Let's just salute to two of the fineness coaches in college baseball history.

If I were and LSU fan (and I am when Texas is not playing) I would be spending my time and energy thanking your lucky stars you have Manieri as your coach right now. You have no reason to live in the past with him there. He has brought back the glory days for LSU baseball and appears to do it with class.
