SHUTTLE SERVICE ...anyone know why is was stopped

When did this happen? I rode to the Miss. State game on the shuttle from downtown BR.

There is still shuttle service from Farr Park and Westmoreland Shopping center, just not from downtown.

Essentially, CATS used to run the service, but a private company wanted in on the action. A state or federal law (I don't remember which, but it was talked about in the Advocate before the season began) required that the private company be given the contract over the public one. Now, after 3 games, the private company has bitched out and will not be running service to downtown for the rest of the season.
So, no bus service to and from downtown for the rest of the year, thanks to a private company not following through with their commitment.
Have fun in traffic.

It costs $15 to ride the shuttle? What a rip off. It costs $5 to ride the Capital Metro shuttle here, and people use the hell out of the service. I don't understand why LSU/CATS charges so much.
