What? Do you want me to make something up so that it can original? Who here wasn't frustrated as hell last season with all of the pick 6s? That was the most frustrating thing I've watched in all my years of following sports.
How is it "original" to say:
1) Lee could end up being the starter
2) Lee has talent but was thrown into a tough situation
3) Jefferson only played 2 1/2 games?
4) Just because Jefferson looked better in the bowl game doesn't mean...
Nothing said in here is original. It's all opinion and observation, similar to what coaches use to make decisions. Of course, the coaches have more data to work with than anyone in here. If you want original, start making a case for Ruben Randle to be the starter at QB for 2009.
Obviously, there is a chance that Lee could start. Hell, there's a chance that Garrett could start.
If Lee improves AND demonstrates that on the field in a number of situations, GREAT! I hope he does. I will trust the coaches to make the right decision. However, I would be absolutley shocked if they decide that the way to go is to make Lee the starter before the season begins. Most likely, Lee will play 1-2 (depending on how the game is going) quarters in the first few games. If Jefferson struggles, and Lee plays awesome, Lee might win the job by the middle of the season. If both Qbs play well, they will probably split time much of the season.
Sorry not original, but sometimes reality dictates the the value of originality.
Very good post... except for the part about "splitting time at QB". It kind of reminds of the kid from, I think, Wyoming... that made the steal, threw down a pretty good dunk.... then hung on the rim and did a complete somersault landing on his arse.
But, he did get up laughing, which was cool.

Geez. What's the record for consecutive posts on a thread with no one giving a crap one way or another?
I don't want that infamy, which King Joey probably has (not because posters don't like his posts, but because he posts so fast on a thread);
so... I heard that the LSU locker room is divided on who will be the starting QB.

That's the easy way out. Seriously, how many of those were true pick 6's?
I'm saying JJ is the guy but if you're using the int's for TD's as your arguement you don't have an original thought.
That's a good point. And i guess my argument with that would be it doesn't have to be an original thought to be right. I just want to win, whichever QB gives us the best chance for that is the one we should go with. It's not just his pick 6's, its his inconsistent play, he started out some important games, florida georgia troy alabama slow. He also looked like he didn't know when he should just run, which would have cut some of those int's out. but all that to say, if he is the QB i'm behind him, I just want LSU to win another championship
