I know he will never be a true qb at LSU. A McFadden or McCluster should be a definite with his abilities.

Your assumption is that they would all be completed TDs or huge gains.

I don't care about trick plays. I want him in the game on most plays making him an integral part of our offense like UF and OM did with their playmakers. If he happens to throw it, fine. But the obsession with him doing so is nuts.

Miles and Crowton have always brought certain players in and everyone knows what is happening. TH he gets the ball. Shep he is only running. etc.

I am assuming as a QB (former QB or whatever) that he would make a good throw and it would be better than any other RB or WR throwing it. I am assuming if we threw it against ARKY it would work because he hasnt thrown yet. So if I assume it gets big yardage then I might be correct because with a guy like him throwing it if the WR is open by a few feet Shep will hit him. Unlike other true RB's or WR's

Right. If they only come in to run the ball, the defense will pick up on this. If he is in the game on most snaps, they can't do that.

But he isnt in for most of the snaps and that is why he needs to throw to keep the defense off balance

Why do you know that?
Pat White was a very successful college QB at West Virginia. And (IMO) Shep is more talented than he is.
It's a matter of running an offense that suits what Shep can do.

Im making this assumption considering he hasnt thrown a pass this year and doesnt warm up with the QB's which makes me assume he doesnt practice with the QB's anymore

:beatdeadhorse: but, comparing a 5-8" running back who never played QB to a 6-1" HS-QB all-american is foolish. And a couple of throws by him would open up more holes for him to run thru when he does run, just my 2 cents...

Exaclty.. think back to two year ago with RP... He was a duel threat qb that would almost all the time run the option, but every once in a while he would fake it drop back and hit the open man. They need to utilize shep in this same manner. He is that GOOD!!!

Shep looks confused? Did you watch the last 50 seconds of Ole Miss game? That is a seminar on what confusion looks like.

Read the post I replied to. Shep in earlier games has looked to the sideline in confusion (although only like 2 times)

He won't be allowed to throw on Saturday because if he completes a pass it will show how truly incompetent the coaching staff is since his throws should have been against Bama and Florida. Shep finally being unleashed and having a great game, the last game of the season, would be Crowton's worst nightmare!

Don't give me any b.s. saying he doesnt know the playbook. The dude has been here since the spring.

He doesn't know it yet. This is one of the biggest problems with Crowton's offense. It is too complex and it takes these recruits way too long to learn the plays. Also the reason why we haven't seen many of the incoming freshman have that big of an impact. You look at RR and RS and they have limited plays on offense when they are in the game.

I am friends with someone on the team. I asked him just like everyone on here why the hell he doesn't get more reps. His answer was not knowing the complete playbook.
