SEC is tough!

Top to bottom, the teams are all better than average, LSU included. They all have athletic players, however, with a few exceptions, none of the teams have the type of players that can compete at the highest level. This season is going to be tough for any team to roll through the competition. The teams that finish in the top half of the conference will be those with an edge. LSU doesn't have it yet.
The focus has been on building a great defense with some success. They are much better than last year's "d".
However what was supposed to be a good offensive team has lost it's way. The lack "o" has been the reason for the lagging results. They are not making the 3's they were earlier in the season. They are missing free throws they were making. The offensive rhythm is not there. Waters seems to have lost some of his confidence. Duop is contributing, but can't do it by himself. Sampson hasn't found his range. Mays has been inconsistent. Epps is spotty. Edwards can shoot, but can't be counted on.
I thought the team came out expecting to beat the hell out of Vandy which was 1-6 in SEC play. They got behind, fought like hell, but couldn't finish the job. They are learning on the job, but will face a tough game every time out through the end of the season. I am just hoping they can win half of their remaining games and build towards next year.
Don't give up on Will Wade. He has the passion, personality, and knowledge to build LSU into a national power IMHO.

Solid assessment. Right on
10/10
I like where there headed. Wade had such a tall task to resurrect what Johnny finished running into the ground ......Trent started this all....

Only 3 SEC teams ranked in the top 25 and one is getting hammered right now. It's called parity. It's the only reason why we are competitive in these games.

There are no gimmes in conference this year. Last year there were 2 teams that only managed 2 conference wins. This year every team in the conference has at least 2 wins.
