Washington with a walk off triple to take the series 2-1 against Oregon at home.
I wouldnt put much stock in it but here were KR's national seeds going into the week. I didnt see anything that would warrant him changing them other than the order.
Scar
FSU
Houston
Vandy
Texas
UVA
Wash
Cal Poly

so in your view what does ULL need to do to, Host? get a Top 8 seed?
Win the Sun Belt.

Let's say some other Louisiana schools are in ULL's regional, Southeastern or :gulp: LSU. Why would ULL want to travel further than both Southeastern and LSU for a home game?

they have a 3 game lead so that isn't that hard.
and they have lost 1 game so far in the sun belt.
but let's say they lose 4 or 5 games from here on our and still win the sun belt would they still host?
I think they have to do more than win the sun belt to host.

ULL would still have more fans than Southeastern in New Orleans or Lafayette and LSU would still have more fans than ULL in New Orleans or Lafayette.

if ULL gets to host, they'll be in their home stadium

someone said ULL may use Zepher if they host. IF other lousiana teams are in their regional, why would they want to travel further than their opponents? Would ULL's fan base travel that well to New Orleans?

Probably so, but it's not a given.
In terms of Louisiana's D1 baseball facilities. Their stadium rates behind LSU, Tulane, Southeastern, UNO

Yep. They're a regional host lock. National seed comes down to how few losses they have from here on out.
I said it earlier but this feels like 2001.

LSU almost outnumbered UCLA fans, so we will have no issue outnumbering ULL fans.
I just don't see why they would want to go to zephyr field.

ESPN has more say than ULL

no one is a lock for anything on april 6th, but yeah they would have to fall hard not to at least be one of 16 to host.

yeah ULL will host more than likely, the question for them is can they look good enough to get a top 8 seed. ULL is good but I don't think they could go on the road and take a series from a top 8 team.

I havent looked at ULL's wins other than Bama and LSU but there are teams like Texas that have 13 wins against RPI top 50 and 20 against RPI top 100 that are ready to pounce if ULL loses 4 or 5 more.

3-1 against Bama and LSU is looking pretty solid right about now. not much else to write home about besides maybe the sweep @ USM (19-14)

those are their only 4 good wins.
2-1 Eastern Illinois 8-22
3-0 @USM 19-14
2-1 Alabama
3-0 Texas Southern 12-19
3-0 @ULM 13-20
3-0 Georgia State 15-17
2-1 Western Kentucy 18-14
3-0 @Troy 16-16
weekday wins vs.
2 NWstate 18-13
@LSU
2 Tulane 14-16
2 Nichols State 16-18
Southern 5-16
so pretty much no-one outside of Bama and LSU
they have only 12 games against teams with a current winning record. They are 10-2 in those games.

Not having good wins doesn't matter if you don't ever lose. And the way it's going it doesn't look like they're going to start losing.

So it seems like pretty safe to host and a borderline national seed if they drop some games, still a ways to go.

yes that is true, but I doubt ULL keeps this up. The will drop a couple they shouldn't.
