He wasn’t liked and wasn’t a sure thing, but he was the safest bet with a track record of leaving every football program better. Nobody that the local media or the rant was clamoring for did anything worth a damn in the subsequent years. Get the self appointed Tiger King and that board of appointees running the show and you will likely find out what a bargain head coach gets you.
