Or BR business leaders could actually try to develop the regional economy, rather than just passively relying on the convenient state university to deliver most of their revenue based on 8 weekends a year.

if these conferences don't play, all the major donors need to tell them don't expect anymore donations for the next 5 years at least...

This is not only about football, the local economies and states need this influx of cash from the games that are played...

if anyone listened to Dr. Loren Scott on Off The Bench yesterday discussing the economic impact that no football would have on Baton Rouge and Louisiana would be catastrophic...

this goes for all the other cities as well...
You do realize that outside of the deep south, most university donors actually care about education, not just sports?

Slive was the ultimate yes man. He rubber stamped whatever the Big 6 wanted. That is literally the job description for any conference commissioner. Just like every CEO serves at the pleasure of every BOD.

So let me get this straight:

Football season will be canceled bc of Trump supporters?

The stupid is strong with this one.

Trump has politicized wearing masks. If you don't see the connection, you're trying not to.

Again, what hire would you have liked? It's easy to bitch about problems, much harder to solve them.

Are these the same heath professionals that signed a letter that the protesting was less of a health risk than police brutality? Or maybe the ones that originally said that shutting down travel from China wasn’t necessary? Or the ones that said masks weren’t helpful. I could go on.

The problem is people tend to not trust people that have either continuously been wrong or lied. It’s not really a partisan issue.

It’s a pretty easy decision for me. Given all the potential issues and backlash it’s not going to work this season. I would love to see it but it’s also going to suck if they start and stop. Colleges won’t admit it but it’s all about the money now and they need the football cash cow to deliver.
