he's not even really comparable to Sproles though. If you look at their bodies, Sproles is much thicker in his legs and upper body.

Holliday is more gangly and with longer limbs. He wouldn't last.

right, that's why I say he needs to put on about 10 to 15 pounds.

and he has done nothing at running back because he hasn't been given an opportunity to run the way he likes to. Trindon likes the ball off tackle, usually a trap play. One of the more common plays that NFL teams run. He is good in small spaces where he can make 1 cut and go. Anymore than one cut is a waste of time. In the NFL, you have to run forward and make minimal cuts while moving with speed. Trindon can do that. NONE of you have ever seen him do this, I haven't seen him do it against SEC defenses because he hasn't been given the chance. What I do know is that he loves moving in the hole and finding space in which to run north and south. I know that because I was raised to learn the same system in middle and high school as this cat, and this is how we were taught. Zone blocking, make one cut and get up the field. BTW, Sproles just did that. Pulling gaurd opened up a HUGE hole. I'll add. The main reason why it is the norm to be a big RB in the NFL is because of injurys. It's not a good value if you pay a guy and he only plays a few games because of injury. With the new way of dual running backs I think Trindon could be a good secondary back in the NFL, much like Sproles. In no way am I saying that 230 pound backs are obsolete, those backs should be featured. All I was saying is that there is a place for Trindon on an NFL roster as a contributing running back

I didn't know Mel Kiper posted on this board...

he has no jukes or anything?....no, the coaches design run's around him to run in lanes.

Dude ... stop it. We all like Trindon, but he is pure speed and doesn't have the instincts to make people miss. Hell, the Ga Tech kicker/punter took him down 1-on-1 TWICE during the Chick-Fil-A bowl.

Sproles at K-State

When Trindon can take hits like this and cut like this, let us know. A running back coach can't teach what Darren Sproles does.

No, Noel Devine is much closer to Darren Sproles than Holliday is.

Trindon is obviously fast and runs with a little shiftiness, but he's not the athlete that Sproles/Devine are.

Until they take a real NFL hit.

I'll bet you're one of those "the best college team could beat an NFL team" type believers.

Lester, he has gained 15 lbs since HS and gotten faster. 10 more pounds would slow him down, but it would help more than hurt.
