The stat line from last year would show that Arkansas was better than Lsu, and Towson was about equal. Why aren't you factoring those games into lsu's greatness?
Lsu scored with 15 seconds left to beat ole miss last year. Why aren't you talking about that?
Since you seem to have trouble with reading comprehension i'll spell it out for you again:
The point, which you are still completely missing, isn't that LSU "should have won" but that the teams were very evenly matched.

I'm not missing the point at all. But until you concede Lsu was also evenly matched with Towson, Arkansas and ole miss you are missing your own point

And how is pointing out that you are completely oblivious to the world name calling?
And again, since you seem to have some fundamental difficulties with logic i'll help you out: LINK

You keep saying I'm the one with the deficiencies, yet you can't even follow your own logic or remember what you posted. You said I had entered the name calling stage. What name did I call you?

Obviously there are a lot of factors that go into determining whether two teams are in fact "evenly matched" and it goes far beyond a stat comparison. LSUs defense (i already admitted earlier) gave up toward the end of the season after losing to Bama (See: ole miss and arky), and historically does not get up for games like Towson (i don't even remember if that was before or after bama). LSU and Bama both knew last year that that was the toughest game on their schedule, and i think it is fair to presume, brought their best on the biggest game-day. The game could have easily gone either way. You are fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

This is hair splitting. You attacked me by claiming that i was oblivious to the world around me. It's a small technical difference between an "ad hominem" attack and name calling, which can be considered the same thing, if only different by a small matter of degree.

So Lsu and Alabama are equal teams. Lsu folds like a book after losing to Alabama, but that's ok because they are sad.
Why didn't Alabama fold after losing to A&M last year! Or after losing to Lsu in 2011 for that matter? I mean, since the teams are equal and all.

Is this where I get to turn around and say you are splitting hairs trying to turn a pointed fact into a personal attack?

Let me try this time:
'I guess now we've reached the point where you realize how incredibly dumb your argument is, so you aren't even going to attempt to respond to the actual posts of substance anymore'

no one said it was okay. in fact if i have one beef with miles it's that he can't get the players up for unimportant games.
but to ignore the fact that college-aged football players don't play harder when they're in the hunt for the NC is ridiculous. LSU was out of the race last year after Bama. in 2011 Bama wasn't out of the race yet when we beat them. pretty big difference there.

ETA: sorry i thought you were trying to clarify your earlier statement. no, i'm not done.

That is most certainly what you are implying, because that's the only way to excuse the rest of the losses from last year into your narrative of Lsu and Alabama being equal.

If that's the only beef you might have with miles, then thank you for adding further evidence to support my oblivious to the world comments.

They weren't out of the picture because they didn't quit for the rest of the season, as you have explained Lsu does.
And Do I need to list all of the teams that don't seem to have a problem still playing hard after they have been eliminated from the national championship picture now?

as i have explained that LSU did when we were for-sure out of the championship hunt.

how could that possibly excuse the loss to Florida? we lost to them before we played bama. your logic is just all wrong.

so 2-loss LSU was still going to get into the NC last yr? we won out and we still didn't. we played Clemson.
Why are you responding to a statement about Alabama with a rundown of how Lsu played at the end of the season? How is that relevant?

That was my mistake. I meant to reference the games previously discussed against ole miss, Arkansas and Towson.
But since you brought it up, please go ahead and explain how that Florida loss factors into your narrative of Lsu and Alabama being equal.
