Russell's transition

After a few years of watching Russell Sheppard run like percy harvin, what will the fans' reaction be, in a couple of years, when shep sits in the pocket and throws a couple of incomplete passes. Will the fan base want to immediately put him back in the slot?
If he is a game breaker in the next two/three years with his legs, it's going to be interesting.

I am always suprised what rantards come up with on a day to day basis, and there is no way of knowing what kind of crazy problems they will dream up in a couple of years!!

This may depend on the development of Chris Garrett, who is going to be a very good QB, if he stays healthy and continues to improve.

yes. this is what i mean. Everyone wants to see shep receive the ball more this year. and, if he does, you can be sure that he will be exciting and very successul for the most part. so, in a few years, when those "legs" are not being used as much, and you have him in the pocket, it will be a huge transition for the fans (including myself).

I am always surprised when posters put their curser on the thread title, see what the majority of it says, and yet continue to join in just to throw their comments that mean shite to the thread. Maybe they just can't help themselves.

you liked your post in the other r.s. thread so much that you felt you had to make a whole thread for it?

You might want to put Shepard (not Sheppard) in the subject line for clarity's sake.

if he's ever our starting QB, it will be in 3 years after JJ and JL graduate
this would also require that garrett doesn't develop

yes. And in 2 yrs, who knows, we may be starting threads about r.s. as a heisman candidate for his roll as a rb/wr by then. which makes me wonder if he should ever take a snap.

So how long before you and RS tie the knot? Some serious man love going on in this thread.

probably by the time you reach puberty. i'd say........3 yrs.

quote:It's your fault, because the premise of the thread is stupid. You assume that in 3 years Shepard will have not developed any passing skills at all, or will not have improved as a player in any way, which is just dumb on it's face. The other assumption that you make, which is equally as dumb, is that even if his passing skills don't develop (which is highly unlikely), that he will continue to be asked to throw passes when we clearly have a better passer on the roster such as Garrett or some new recruit.

So that means I been posting since I was like 5-6 years old. I wonder if I hold the record for youngest tigerdroppings poster.
It's good to see you two came out of the closet and got a date set though.

IMO Russell Shepard will probably never be the full time starting QB at LSU. We'll go from Jefferson to Garrett...
