Shep is diff, he was well raised and is well mannered, and he wont place himself above the team, I think he will stay out of trouble and do well...

I agree. From everything I've heard, he's a class act. My issue is with RanTards crowning him as King before he's ever played a down of college ball. All it does is raise expectations to ridiculous level. Give the kid a chance to learn the college game, mature, and grow.

The "he's an icon, he'll be a legend" is total bullshite.

It's very conflicting when you consider most people who make such statements also believe that Jefferson is the second coming of Christ.

Assuming Shepard won't redshirt, they're only a year apart in eligibility. So if JJ has the career that many think he will, and provided he doesn't bolt for the NFL as a Jr, where does that leave Shep? The Harvin role? With Randle and the 2011 class, we'll be stacked at WR...

Ryan Perriloux was in love with himself, and a prima donna. The kid was handled with kid gloves his entire life, and he had bad home training, with a mother and sisters who told him he was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Rp thought so highly of himself, he predicted 2 heismans in his future. c'mon, anybody could tell this was not a team first guy at the very least.

Shep is diff, he was well raised and is well mannered, and he wont place himself above the team, I think he will stay out of trouble and do well...
That's why the two can't be compared- Shep has true team character, something Perriloux only had when he was in front of multiple mirrors looking at himself...

He also went on to say how he has met and worked with LM at some camps when Les as at OSU. He said LM would go out of his way to keep "class, dignity and respect instilled in the mind of his players" first and foremost. ......he said " We got a good one"

I can vouch for LM's class...I had the privelidge of waiting on him last night at Portobello's. I tried really hard not to be "that guy" and take a picture or talk football. I didn't take a picture but we did talk about football bc he brought it up. Asked if I was a student and went to the games? His kids answered for me haha. We met his wife and kids at the arky game last year and I wait on them often. I told him I wouldn't bring up the Arky game but that I really liked his coaching style. When I asked him how he liked the quote about Big Kahunas(sp?) he laughed and said that was his fav after "Damn Strong Football Team!" haha. He definitely thinks on a different wavelength though haha!
