Although he would be able to play in about two weeks which would be around the start of the regionals, I doubt he will be able the throw out runners the way he has all season for even a couple of weeks after that. Normal recovery time following laproscopic appendectomy is about two weeks but that is to resume normal activity, not throwing out runners from a squatting position 125 feet away with a 90 mph cannon for an arm. Sad to say but I think our chances in the regionals looks grim after watching Vandy run like they had a 30 mph tail wind. Not one throw was even close.

It a "rosin bag " . But I too have never seen such a poor throw from any catcher who didn't lose his balance throwing.I'm afraid we're in serious trouble until Ty is back and at full strength. JS is also weak at catching and framing pitches.
