re: Really? Jefferson is the problem?

quote:good point.......but just think the problems we would be having this year if rp would have stayed the last two years, instead of having two qbs with a total of 19 sec starts we would have two qbs with no experience in games or very little. i guess what im trying to say is to your point we have an idiotic coaching staff or at least one that cant develop the qb position.
No. He's not even doing that. He's just hanging around talking shite about Lee to make himself feel better. I wouldn't even mind so much if he wanted Jefferson to start if he came on here talking both QBs up, but instead, he has to talk shite about both of them as a way of showing how even-handed he supposedly is. You know, maybe they aren't the greatest talents around, and maybe they have been ruined by bad coaching on an individual level or whatever, but the main point I want to get back to is that we need to gear our offense towards a real, legit passing attack, and that our coaches were starting Jefferson BECAUSE they refused to do this. It's not Jefferson starting that bothers me, and I really don't even mind him starting against Florida so long as Lee gets a lot of playing time too. Mostly, what bothers me is people defending the indefensible, which is the coaching staff's idiotic and deliberate decision to shut down LSU's offense and let other teams' defenses tee off on us.

I was with you in this argument, except for this quote.
For the 1st 3 games or so this year, I was still in favor of Jefferson starting and getting basically all the reps. My thinking was even if he can only top out at 95 yards passing per game, he is the safer option because he protects the ball. And with our running game, defense, and special teams, protecting the ball should be priority one on offense with mediocre QBs.
But we've learned in the following weeks that Jefferson is simply not protecting the ball AT ALL.
The second he did that was when I felt the switch needed to be made. WIth Lee, it looks like he's still gonna make some boneheaded passes, but at least he can make some passes and rack up a few passing yards.
It's beyond me that Jefferson is starting today. Blah.

3 of 10 with 2 ints.
Nough said!
Hard to win with that.
WE would have beat UT by 10 if JJ was 6 of 10
for 75 yrds and 0 ints.

I just read first 5 pages.
Numerous fails in this thread by about 3-4 posters.

I'd agree w/ you on this...about this topic, I mean.

Nice bump though
I'm not a fan of JJ(neutral up until UF last year) and the more he spoke the more exposed himself as a "me" player and quite arrogant about his ability.
Prediction (although it's stating the obvious): If Doc Fenton's 41-14, 4 int scenario happens, w/ at least 3 of those pics coming from JL, then JJ defenders, especially Roaad will come on here bashing Lee and Crowton to make themselves feel better about their love for JJ.
Heck, a late game mistake by JL even if his stats are good will make JJ-lovers go, "see, see!"

The world ain't right when we're in 100% agreement on any topic.

But I think this is a sign I better start watching my back and packing heat.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year
After unc, I was okay.
After vandy, I was livid.

I was about to lose my shite when I read the first couple of pages thank god I noticed it was before last weekend. I can't see anyone thinking JJ is playing well right now.
