Vandy beat ole miss last year and gave florida a good game they returned 18 starters.

Vandy last year had the third best pass d in the
sec.

they will be 2nd or third in the sec east this year.

washington may upset sc usc is grosley overrated.
bareley beat a weak ohio team.

I agree 100%. The negatigers always want to complain about something. You probably all think that we would get killed by USC too, huh? Yeah right, that Freshmen quarterback barely got by OSU. USC didn't win that game, OSU just lost it. I'll take our so-called Weak minded defense anytime against this year's USC team. We should be able to pick apart their defense for they had to return eight starters. Not to mention the fact that we can take away the Freshmen quarterback and make this team one dimensional. Any team is capable of being beat at this point. Only Florida probably holds the advantage over everyone in the nation.

FWIW UGA is currently ranked 11 (total defense) & 12 (total offense) in the SEC. So LSU leads (ableit marginally) UGA in both. And Vandy leads both substantially.

Also, Dukkie it is apparent that you get your jollies from repeatedly stating your unsubstantiated opinions as being facts, and universally slam people for being "fans".

I think the folks on this board would be well served if you would stop posting.

IMO LSU has not played up to the level of a top ten team. But, Miles played it really close to the vest on offense on the road the first game with a young QB and the weather also caused them to go conservative in the second half of the Vandy game. LSU has plenty of weapons on offense. How good they can be is riding on how JJ progressses at QB. On defense the second half of the vandy game they played better, but the conditions were pretty tough for both offenses. The thing that concerns me on D is maybe a lack of talent. The 07 team had 6 future pro players. On this team I see one(peterson) maybe two if chad jones comes around. Plus Chavis likes to play soft at times. The teams with really good qb's are gonna give us fits. I thought the O/U before the season on losses was 3. Right now I'd say(based on the way we have played) it may be 4. But if we improve between now and the meat of the schedule I think 9 wins is still possible. Time will tell.

He makes alot of sense.

If Vandy catches the balls that were dropped vs. knocked away or well defended by us, we would be 1-1.

If we picked up two fumbles and returned them for touchdowns and Shep (linebacker) catches that ball trhown right at him, it is a huge blowout. Did you forget all the great breaks Vandy got by us not capitalizing on fumbles and bad passes?

edited to say....Not to mention the missed opportunities on long passes by our offense.

If you think we are good enough to beat florida , Alabama and ole miss then you are just plan stupid.

I will admit florida will be tough. But to concede bama and ole miss as guaranteed victories frick that. What have they done on a consistent basis in recent years to deserve that much respect.

These people need their own section to sit in. The game was almost ruined (not really) by some ranter behind me spouting out every cliche line in the book. Fire the coaches, Put Trindon/Keiland/Sheppard/Randle on the field, we should do this or do that. How do these people get to be experts at every position!?

Ole miss was nearly beaten by a weak memphis and lost allot of players to graduation and the nfl.

Bama beat an overated VT. Remember when we played VT?

I think the big point he was making was that Vandy's inability to "make the play" at the WR position ala dropped TDs/Big gains is what gift-wrapped the game for us.

Of course, but that wasn't my point.

The D was out of position enough that it would have us saying different things today (about the D) if those balls had been caught...and we would be 1-1

Go back and watch how many big plays Vandy missed on where the receiver dropped the ball without a defensive back even covering them .They lost at least and extra 100 yards and two TD's because of this Florida and ole miss will not do the same. At this point we will lose to Auburn and UGA.

Disagree. Not saying they'll take it all this year. But they will be the favorites for the next 3 years.

If Riley makes that int. or we get of a decent snap we win 30-0 against a team that won a Bowl game and returned 17 starters. We are 2-0.

FWIW if Sheppard holds on to that interception he takes it for 7.......but he looked to run before securing it. Kinda like the pass Vandy bobbled to Taylor.

My point: we had missed opportunities as well.

Oh, maybe some of you missed the holding all night by Vandy. Zebras did.

How convenient it is for you guys to pimp Vandy's missed opportunities yet ignore LSU's.

nice
