Sure There LSU GUy. i observed a great LSU team clicking on all cyclinders last night defense shut down the powerfull vandy offense and we look great on offense jefferson had all day to throw and Russell Shepard had like 10 touches like miles said.We need no improvement what so ever looks like we steam roll florida Guess this makes me a positive tiger

Don't know what you game you watched, but I saw a lot of improvement--give it a rest.

will you be able to look at the Scoreboard against Say Florida and Alabama if we don't show marked improvement on offense and defense
Do you actually know how good Bama and UF are or are you just going off media hype? I saw the first Q of the UF game yeterday and I can tell u that there was nothing scary there. Obviously they got it together, but they have there issues.
Bama has had VERY slow starts against VT and FIU.
It's week 2. Everyone has issues, including us. It's inconcievable that anyone (particullarly fans) can say that we WILL lose to UGA, Bama, UF or anyone else for that matter.

Perhaps, but I don't run around shouting out "you are not top 10, you are not top 10" on an LSU forum like a 15 yr as some do.
They are not playing like a Top Ten team. I am HOPING that they are really hiding something for later in the season. Why they would be I don't know. All I know is that they beat two mediocre teams and need improvement to be considered as a TOP program in the country. With all these top 5 recruting classes They should look better.

All i'm saying is this team needs significant improvement to compete in the SEC and i see no reason right now to convince me we are making that progress. I have heard coaches and players from last year to present day say we are making changes each week to fix the problem only to come out and play flat and make the say mistakes over and over again (minus GA. tech game). Rip me all you want but if you think this current team which looks alot like last years team will be beating top sec teams then you are crazy. Please prove me wrong Tigers!!PLEASE DO!!!

since you coached little league and went to LSU
There you go again....who said anything about me being a little league coach??? I guess you got that from the same place that you got your ability to predict the future???

If you want to go what if's....what if RS wouldn't have fumbled on his reception? What if JJ would have connected with that wide open receiver in the endzone he overshot be 10 yds??
Dropped passes and missed tackles are all part of it...

Hey smart guy you the one that gave the checklist:
----------------------------------------
Being you conveniently didn't answer the questins I posted...I will assume the following:
1. Does your profession have anything to do with sports? NOPE
2. Did you play college sports? NOPE
3. Did you graduate from LSU? NOPE
4. Have you ever coached sports at any level above pee-wee? NOPE
But you feel that you are qualified to be taken serious when you predict the future of a college football program???
-----------------------------------
stating it was a requirement for some reason and the ability to predict the future starts with the history of the past. Proven fact my friend and no checklist required

I don't think this year's team looks anything like last years. Yes, there are still issues that need to be fixed, and some were during the week. If you didn't see that, then frankly you're either not looking, or you've already made up your mind and just framing the argument to justify it.

I dont see this as a "me versus you" thing dude. It obvious that you keep wanting to turn it into that but thats not what it is at all. If I had to guess (completely based on the lack of intelligence displayed in your posts) I would have to say that if this was a "me versus you" contest, it wouldn't even be close on any level. Your stupidity is obvious and incapable of being disguised.

If Vandy receivers don't drop at least 2 td passes we are 1-1 this morning.
That may be true.
But hey a W is a W. This team has a chance. My biggest problem is if you have Murphy, Scott, Williams, and Ridley, why are running the QB? And if the plan is to run the QB, why not use Sheppard. He's the best runner by far. Lee is the best passer. Jefferson seems to fall in between.

The fact that JJ is good at both makes him the bets to run the option. No one would believe that Shep is going to throw it...at least not yet anyway.
IMO, the only way JL is superior is that he has a better release than JJ. But I wouldn't say he is the better passer.

I think the vote is split 50/50 if we will have a good year but you guys making excuses of UW will have a good year and vandy will have a good are seriously smoking something. Lets see a winless team last year and a annually bad team. LSU gets by both and i'm crazy for being critical. The SEC has alot better teams than these two! trust me we play like we have in the last two games and we will be at the bottom again of the SEC and the Les miles lovers will be gone.
Please leave for good.. Do you know anything about the game of FOOTBALL.. ??
Posted on 9/13/09 at 12:52 pm to FLObserver
everybody needs to settle down. we havent dominated either game but we have played well. not many offensive mistakes. we gave up several big plays against UW in the first half, but since then we have not. this team looks much, much better than last year's. lets see what happens when JJ gets more comfortable and the the new center and LG get more experience.
keep in mind our schedule. while Bama, Ole Miss, and UGA are good teams they havent exactly play great. they have played more sloppy and made more mistakes than we have. the only team i think we CANT beat on our schedule is Florida.

That's a reasonable statement and I'll give you that they need to step it up if we are to have hopes of finishing as a Top 10 team.
Having said that, we didn't vote ourselves into the Top 10, so I see no reason for me to have to justify our being there to anyone...it is what it is.

No, it wasn't a dominating 35 point win. But there was big improvement from last week to this week. We played a good Vandy team. The "experts" put us at a 14 and a half point favorite. We win by 14. Short of a bad snap, we win by 16 or more.
Is there room for improvement? Yeah. Do I think we'll improve? Yeah.
We started against 2 good teams. If we'd started against ULL and Miss State, maybe our stats would look different. But I'll take a D giving up 7 points and 210 yards to an SEC team any day!

Yeah, we know...anyone who doesn't agree with your "doom and gloom" is spineless.
I can't recall seeing a post yet here that said we are a great team and a shoe in for the BCS title game...have you?
You seem to be a member of a crowd who wants to be able to say, "see, I told you so." If that's your MO, great...enjoy it. If you think that takes "spine"...great.
Some of us enjoy the now and can wait a tad for the falling sky.
I know that doesn't take spine, but guess what...neither does your BS.
Great post. Agree 100%

Vandy beat ole miss last year and gave florida a good game they returned 18 starters.
Vandy last year had the third best pass d in the
sec.
they will be 2nd or third in the sec east this year.
washington may upset sc usc is grosley overrated.
bareley beat a weak ohio team.
