A veteran QB and a retooled offensive line should be good for 375 to 400 yards of total offense and 28 or 29 PPG (the ranges for top 50 in total and scoring offenses over the past few years).

I agree with this completley, and this is why there is NO excuse for next year. Crowton has got to field an offense that gets first downs and moves the chains consistently, especially if Chavis continues his bend but dont break scheme.

I think LSU will have a Top 50 offense next season, but my faith in Crowton is still at about a 1 or 2 level out of 10.

His track record says he will get better though.

I'll say 7/10. I'm sure we'll be better but I'm not sure how much better the running game is going to be.

If we are in the top 50, a guy named Sheppard of Garrett will be at least 7's on your scale. It won't be JJ doing it>

10 plus. stats are overrated. 30 points a game wins eleven with the same defense, maybe even slightly better.

crowton has to realize that what worked at BYU wont
work at lsu can he change who knows the o-LINE must
improve the defense has to start forcing some three and outs to help with field position lastly we have to have a running game to win the sec one
