I'm not saying he'll be exactly like RP with the option packages. But you have to slowly move a freshman QB into the SEC.
I'm interested in seeing how OC Cameron works with him over the fall practices.

Jennings didn't look very impressive in the scrimmage on Saturday... Had multiple fumbled shotgun snaps, had a fumble on one of his scrambles. And didn't seem to have any accuracy when he did actually throw the ball. Overall I'm just not impressed with the guy yet.

I feel bad for Rivers but it sounds like Coach Cameron isn't going to operate on the seniority system...which is good news.

Rivers probably needs to see the writing on the wall and move on sooner than later. He had the opportunity to compete, it simply didn't work out for him.

Not at this point. But if Zach isn't panning out, say in the 1st half of TCU game, I hope someone is prepared enough to come in and give it their best shot and maybe do better.

Im not a fan of this change of pace stuff other people are.
given our struggles in short yardage/ goal line situations, and the success seen when it's used effectively (Flynn/ RP, Leak/ Tebow, Landry Jones/ Belldozer), I think it could really benefit us. and it sounds like Jennings is a legit threat to either pass or run, not a RB trying to play QB.

Damn straight. If he can't get it done against TCU, what is he going to do against UGA/UF/UA? 8-4 here we come?

Well, considering the 'known', since 2008....sure.

Why would the rant melt down? Most of us expect to see him running some plays this year in very limited action.

Someone has to hold the ball for the kicker.

From 2008 to 2012 the LSU total O has ranked 55, 112, 86, 86 and 85, respectively. That's the 'known'. The NC year, LSU was ranked 26.
I don't know what you mean by 'High School'.

This is a stupid thread! Hopefully the kid red shirts and starts for 4 years down the road. If not! Great! If he does great! What would cause a meltdown? Oh! I got ya! The old race card thing. Like I said, Very Stupid Post!

Who mentioned race in this thread?

I remember back in 2008 a freshman qb by the name of youknowwho started for us against GA Tech in the Chicken Bowl. There was some JJ mania on the rant following that game that lasted all the way into the next fall. Posters pleasured themselves over how our offense scored 38 points under a freshman qb with poise (yes, poise) beyond his years. We were set at qb. He was the man.
The point is first, Jennings is nothing like JJ. He is much better. However, how about we let a guy who has had all of a couple of weeks of practice who should be going to his high school prom right about now have a little more time to develop before we talk about proclaiming him our future star and benching Mettenberger for him in the second half of our first game.
In short, tone down the fire on the Jennings mania.

Fair enough. Looking forward to Saturday, then Dallas.
