These picks by Mr. Rosetta might be the worst predictions for an LSU season I have ever seen. Does he even know anything about college football?

I don’t really see where his picks are that awful. Give LSU a win over WV and a loss to Ark and it looks exactly the way I think the season will play out.

First off, a team from the SEC west WILL NOT play in the Gator Bowl.

Probably not, but who cares.

Secondly, to pick a non SEC school to come in to Baton Rouge and win? HIGHLY unlikely.

I wouldn’t say ‘HIGHLY unlikely’ by any means. They have one of the best runningbacks in the country and there have been much weaker teams come into Baton Rouge and give LSU fits the last couple of years. See La Tech & Troy(2).

And to drop Alabama, Auburn AND Florida? Even in our last two seasons we didnt lose ALL three of those.

I would be pretty surprised personally if LSU wins any of these 3. I think they’ll beat Alabama before they beat Auburn. JMO

Guess we’ll see. I'm guessing 9-4 just like he is with a 4-4 SEC mark.

I would...........like I said before post LSU's last September non SEC lost in Tiger Stadium.....

It's highly unlikely and history dictates this. Why? Because you haven't been through the SEC grind yet, injuries and depth haven't taken their toll, and lastly everything is still ahead of you.

I do..........If you want me to take predications like this seriously...........Do Homework.......this hasn't happened in forever.

Wow, so since you like to bring up the last two years, you'd be surprised that LSU would beat Auburn whom they've beaten the 3 previous times in a row, including last year even with relative ease? Sound logic only applies to the losses I see but not the wins......class tiger rant style brother.

And I'm not saying Randy Rosetta doesn't know anything........I'm just saying he has us scoring 31 against Bama's D but we won't score 31 against WV's @ home.........

why is that funny? troy damn near pulled it off

They sure did, they even took the lead in the 4th quarter...

TROY.................. 7....3....7....3.....20
LSU.................... 7...10....0....7.....24

...but that was Saban's last year - 2004.

Edited for Mr. Frisbee's correction.

ok, but can you explain the parallel you have presented between WVU and Mr. Nutt?

LSU played Troy in 2004, not in 2003.

apples to oranges.

WVU will be a nationally televised game with huge buzz. The 2 cited were Debbie Downers. They are still kids and motivation does still play a huge part in their performance.

Enough of the LT and Troy references.

Wow! You’re really going to argue this point considering LSU’s September OOC slate the last few years has included the likes of ULL, App. St, N. Texas, Middle Tennessee St, Tulane, Arkansas St, ULM, W Illinois, The Citadel, Miami Ohio, Utah St, W Carolina, Houston, & UAB (which is the last non-SEC team to win in TS in September). This makes you think that the WV is a sure win? The only teams from BCS Conferences that LSU has played in Sept over the last decade are Va Tech, Arizona, & Oregon St. You might want to take note that LSU has 3 tough games leading up to WV where we’re usually playing the likes of the ones mentioned above, so you're 'SEC Grind' gets started a little early this year. I’m not saying I think WV will win, but I will definitely not be shocked if they do.

Only ONE of which was @ Auburn. Like I said in my previous post, that was the worst Auburn team that I can remember and we won by the skin of our teeth. We haven’t had great success there by any means. Nick Saban never won there and the greatest coach in LSU history (Miles) has 1 win.

It's a different season.. Troy wouldn't come close to pulling that off in Tiger stadium this season.. nor will anyone else this year.

Some of these folks are going to be mightily surprised when this team suits up. Like I said, they are still kids one has to motivate and the media as well as pessimistic fans are doing exactly what we need them to.

Keep up the bashing and/or negative prognostications.....only seasons that crow a bit more. SPICEY!

If Houston Nutt left for a Big East school today.......He'd be the best coach in the big East.

As much as I like Houston Dale I don't know about that. Shiano, Edsall, and now Skip Holtz are all really good coaches.

I think the WVU upset is a stretch myself but I think his overall prediction is spot on. We have two losses in my opinion (Bama and FL) and Four toss ups now Ole Miss has added Masoli ( UNC, Auburn, Arky, and OM). I think we split those four and end up 8-4

The media is dumb and stupid for making picks like this. LSU will win 11 or more. Coach Miles has made the necessary changes and the players have embraced it.
