Seems like rational thoughts imo

Q: View of LSU

LSU is a mystery. Maybe too close to the team to see their strengths and weaknesses. More mystery than ever.

2 Potential All-Americans on defense in White and Greedy.

One of only 2 possible SEC teams with a QB who hasn't started a game. (Kentucky)

No proven RB.

Depending on transfer WR Giles to be the lead receiver.

New OC.

Brutal schedule.

Q: Talk about Ensminger

On balance, went well as play caller, but shutout vs Alabama and stopped at the goal vs Florida.

Talks about O wanting the Pro-Style offense from USC under Pete.

HC should probably be comfortable with who they have on staff, but it feels like a getting the band back together situation.. Steve, McMahon, and then he emphasized Sullivan's age.. perhaps too much familiarity on staff to turn out well.

Q: Recruiting

Need to do a little better in New Orleans.
Must do better in North Louisiana.

Misc

Doesn't think Ed's seat is hot, maybe warm.

Q: Alleva

Brought up Florida fiasco and says if Ed fails he might be on more of a hot seat than Ed.

No major scandals or anything.

He thinks King prevented the Jimbo hiring the most, but that it was really close.

Then talks about having to battle against Jimbo in recruiting and on the field.

Q: Schedule

Daunting.

More dread for this upcoming football schedule than usual and more excitement for basketball than usual.. very different times.

This is about as accurate as a quick overview of the entire situation can be.

Rabalais is a journalist and they tend to go to the negative, not wishing to be called a "homer." He fell right into the Finebaum trap, following Finebaum's leading questions. In every discussion with Finebaum on LSU football, he never fails to mention LSU politics and saying that Louisiana is a different place when it comes to politics and LSU football. Maybe Paul should do some research on Alabama politics. How many governors do they have in jail? It is all tiresome and they can take the boot end of Louisiana and stick it up their arse. Geaux Tigers.

alabama politics are indeed a disaster but when it comes to football that state has an uncanny ability to get their shite together.

Lawrence will likely be our best player on D in one of the most important positions on D. If he isn’t a potential AA nobody is

Not only is he not the best player on D (will be drafted much lower than the other 2), and not an AA talent (not on a single AA preseason list), he almost certainly won't even be on the all SEC first team.

He's going to be a great player for us but pump the fricking breaks on the superlatives.

I’m not knocking Lawrence at all, but come on.

D White is the best player on the team. If anyone is an AA it’s him.

As I and several others that actually know what's going on behind the scenes have stated.

FKA definitely nixed the deal that was in place...…...
