Before the NIL era, when a player declared for the draft he could return to the team if he didn't hire an agent of representative. Now most players in college have an agent or representative, here's the question, if a player declares for the draft and don't like his draft projection, can he return to his team?

Doesn't seem like the NCAA can stop much these days. Eventually we gonna have NFL players back in college playing because they have eligibility left. Baylor basketball just had a professional player join their team half way through the season.

I’m pretty sure hiring approved NFL agents is different. For instance NFL agents have to be licensed and they have a cap that they can charge. You can be an “agent” for a college kid. And you can charge as much or as little as you want.
As of now a professional NFL approved agent to represent you in professional contracts still forfeits your eligibility.
Also if they are still in the draft at the time of the draft then they forfeit any remaining eligibility - even if they have no agent.
None of this has been recently challenged in court, so who knows how they would rule and if it would have to change.
