RS was as good a passer as randall in his youtube highschool highlights.

Noo fricking chance.

Randall is lightyears better as a passer. He has a better arm, better technique, and better touch.

I think randall has a better arm than Jefferson. He usually likes to stay in the pocket

yep and it's not close. He's a better passer than JJ is right now.

If Miles gets a true SEC starting QB in Mett, then there won't be a 2 QB system - there are limited snaps in practice. We ran 2 QB's 'cause we had to this year.

If we roll out 2 next year, that will tell us we are in the same boat as this year.

Not to worry, though. Defense, a strong run game and excellent special teams are working this year, and all will be back in force next year.

Randall has a cannon. I doubt he'll be in a two QB system, but I'll put my money down that he starts three years down the road.

As a couple of guys said, more like Flynn RP. Mett will be a legit passing threat and our stud RB's will be killing people when teams can't load the box. We will get off next year.

I watched JJ and Randall throwing together. About 60 yard passes, Randall was one step throwing them on a line while JJ had to loft the frick out of it to get it back. The dude's got a mucho better arm than Shep did or JJ has.

Plus he's got legs. I just worry about his size

I think he's fine with his size. I'm sure he'll add 10-15 lbs before next year too.

Yeah, Scout had him at 4.46. If he were just a little taller, little heavier and a little more accurate, he'd be a faster Cam Newton.

anything else he needs??

kidding

I agree, the 2 QB system has worked pretty well for us.

Does anyone think it might impact our ability to recruit a hot-shot QB in the future though? If we establish a reputation for always running a 2 QB system, will the studs choose to go elsewhere so they don't have to share time on the field?

IDK...wondering what y'all think.

. imagine if Saban had a guy that was an actual QB to bring into the game to run the wild cat instead of Maze? could have been the difference in the game

Phillip Sims could have done it actually. But bringing in an actual QB can limit the effectiveness of a wildcat pass because its not something that is a shock to the defense if there is an actual QB back there

He really seems to like the dual threats that each QB would bring in different situations.

I think it's more of not having a clear #1 this year. If Mett is good next year, I doubt we see a 2 QB system. Hell, if JJ doesn't have the Shady's episode then we probably don't see JLee much at all. Miles' hands were tied this year once JJ was suspended. His only choice was to use both JLee and JJ. Trust me, every coach in America would prefer to have one guy that is the clear #1 at QB.

What about Rivers? If not mistaken, he's currently 4th on the depth chart behind Mett and ahead of Randall. Kid's 6'7"/220 Lbs and plans to bulk up to 240 Lbs...I wouldn't count him out of the picture.

He doesnt fit the change of pace mold. The offense wouldnt change at all with him in there so there would be no point of him coming in the game

Plus Randal>>> Rivers

didn't read every page, but I think Met plays exclusively.

he can run and get away from pressure. He could probably run the option. I doubt he runs much qb draw though.

I hear what you're saying, and Les didn't use 2 QBs when Jamarcus was here. But Flynn was good enough to play the whole game, but RP still came in because he added a little. Maybe that's when Les really started liking it. I still think Randall plays next year, but it will be much less than the #2 has played the last 2 years.
