Florida loses they are pissed next week when we play them. If Bama loses we have a much better chance at an SEC champ game.

I agree with this. Also, I am hopeful for a physical game where Florida and Bama won't be at full strength fot the following weeks.

The loss would be to us...

Ok, breaking it down:

LSU: 1 loss to Ark
Ark: 1 loss to Bama
Bama: 1 loss to LSU

Unfortunately, Ark would go. If our only loss is to them and by virtue of them beating us...they go. We would be #2 and Bama #3.

Records being equal and all....at least I think that's how it would play out.

i'm the one that doesn't sound like i've never played nor watched football?

these are two of the top teams in the country. If you think they don't go out every saturday with a chip on their shoulder and animosity agains the other team, you're retarded.

Florida/LSU isn't the most storied rivalry in all of sports, but every year, no matter the record, they go out and play a hard fought game.
no matter who they played the week before
no matter if they won or lost the week before.

if your theory held any water at all, wouldn't it be a genius idea to lose the week before every big game? ...so you can get your team "oooh, soooo mad... grrr"

that's retarded.

so, hopefully LSU loses to Tennessee this week so we can assure ourselves of a win against Florida, right?
because there's no way that the team can get up for that big game otherwise... right?

so you are saying the EXACT same Florida team and fanbase will show up against LSU regardless of win/loss vs. Bama the week prior?

Great teams at home coming off a disappointing loss are the same as a team coming off the high of beating the defending champs on the road?

Im pulling for Bama, After LSU ive always liked Bama, i grew up watching the Bear do his thing. And Charile Mac do his. Also, even though a lot of you hate him, i like Nick Saban, i think he's one hell of a coach and would love for him to be our coach right now.

And I agree that lets hope for a UF victory and more than anything a violent hitting, physical, tiring game between the two that drains them both emotionally and physically.

Alabama is the only SEC team I root against even in non-conference games. This has been this way for the last 3 years. I will never feel this much hatred for another team and fanbase...ever.

Regardless of personal feelings, LSU fans should always pull for SEC East teams unless the SEC West race is decided.

Think with organs above the collar line not below it.

I hope a cropduster gets lost and sprays the field, everyone gets sick for the next three months, and Saban and Meyer contract incurable IBS.

I know and I agree. I did until about 3 years ago. Something in my body just won't allow me to root for Bama EVER. I laughed and celebrated when they lost to Utah.

The SEC has our respect. People know we're the best. Bama losing to somebody isn't going to change that. It's not going to hurt our SOS to the point we'll left out of anything. frick BAMA.

A UF win helps us more. Plus a loss might fire them up for the next weekend when we face them. I would like to see Florida eek out a close win, but not without several key injuries that make our next week easier.
