i don't think the fact that these guys often grew up with meager financial situations can be emphasized enough. it would be amazing to tour 5 great schools when all you've seen is small town USA for 18 years. also, there are often extenuating circumstances...i grew up in CA my whole life but am a die-hard tiger, so if i were 6-4 235 from CA i'd go to LSU and the SC fans would wonder why. stuff happens, let em be 18

Each kid SHOULD go where "The situation" best suits them. Furhtermore, if you think most kids grow up going to LSU games with mom/dad you're way off.
I've been in the Public School Sys 20 years, MANY don't even know where their next meal will be coming from or if they'll go home to a drunken father who beats the crap out of them and mom (If they even have a father). They don't have these "Loyalties" that we do- as LSU fans, to assume every La. high school prospect does is out of touch with reality.
