So you don't want a QB who is good in the clutch and won a lot of games in the 4th quarter?

I swear, LSU fans get dumber by the minute.

JR if I remember played very well that year.
Check that Tennessee game!

The Tennessee game that JR suffered a concussion during and came back in after Flynn proceeded to lose yards while in the game?

Yea, it wasn't his best game, but it was a gutsy performance. He made some ridiculous plays.

One of his 4 games that he threw an interception in.

Jamarcus was drafted #1 after that season and won the Manning Award for best college QB that year.

This isn't even debate

Jamarcus Russell was a far better qb at lsu than Flynn was. Hell JJ( 137.2 qb rating) in 2009 had ahigher qb rating than Flynn in 07 (125.8 qb rating)

JRuss' s 2006 season is the greatest qb season in lsu history.
He tied the single season passing td record and the set the lsu single season compl% record. JRuss' s qb rating in 2006 was over 40 points better than Flynn's qb rating in 2007.

Bottom line, your friend is an idiot.

Flynn would find the yard marker and move the chains.

Russell would have more long TD passes.

What? Flynn's compl % in 2007 was 56 while jruss' s was 69 in 2006.
There is no stat that puts flynn as a better qb, at lsu, than russell. Its not even close.

Flynn easy. JR was good in the clutch and won a lot of games in the fourth quarter. So many 3 and outs with JR, so many missed passes that would have went for easy TD's. Flynn easy

Thanks. I now know i can ignore your opinions on football.

JR had a cannon of an arm but couldn't throw accurately past 15 yards.

JRUSS SET THE LSU COMPLETION % RECORD. HIS QB RATING IS 40 POINTS HIGHER THAN FLYNNS

For those who think we would have won a title in 2006 with Flynn as a starter instead of Russell, remember that LSU had 2 losses in 2006 and 2007.

The dominoes just fell our way in 2007.

would take either Flynn or Mauck as a college QB any day over JR.

Then you dont know football. Jruss had the best season of any lsu qb ever, in 2006 AND HE DID IT WITH OUT A RUNNING GAME.our run game sucked in 2006 until Keiland finally started in week 9 or so.

JR for sure. Flynn could scramble better, that's it. Although I do think Flynn was excellent at LSU. Plus for some reason the WRs dropped so many balls for JR, presumably bc he threw so hard.
