I'm at 19.1 points and I assumed that the cutoff would be higher than that.

ETA: Was the cutoff date for the waiting list March 31?

I just checked and it was March 31. I made my donation but forgot about the waiting list. Oh well there's always next year.

No way of knowing the exact cut-off number. Depends on renewals and other factors. Here's the text of a January email message from TAF explaining the Philanthropic Points number for the last two seasons.

The 2012 Annual Football Season Ticket and Parking Wait Lists are now open at LSUtix.net. The deadline to join either wait list is March 31, 2012.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• There is a $10 membership fee per wait list. Wait list memberships are valid for the 2012 football season only and will NOT carry over from year to year.

• All season tickets and parking passes will be distributed using the LSU Philanthropic Point System rankings as of March 31, 2012.

• Season ticket and parking availability varies each year based on the number of season tickets not renewed from the previous season, and the number of individuals requesting new season tickets via the Wait List. 2012 season ticket and parking renewal rates are expected to be very high, meaning that the number of available tickets will most likely be low.

• It is not possible to determine the specific rank needed to acquire season tickets in any given year, however as an example, in 2011 a Philanthropic Rank of 4060 (roughly equating to 16 Philanthropic Priority Points) or better was required to obtain 2 side-by-side season tickets in Tiger Stadium. In 2010, a Philanthropic Rank of 4141 was required to obtain 2 side-by-side season tickets in Tiger Stadium.

• There is a limit of 4 new season tickets per year that can be obtained through the wait list. Additional overall account limitations may also be enforced.*

• Only football season ticket holders are eligible to purchase season parking passes. There is a limit of 1 new parking pass per year that can be obtained through the wait list. Additional overall account limitations may also be enforced.**

• If you have an existing LSU account, you must sign in using that account to utilize your LSU Philanthropic Point ranking. If you are unsure how to access your online account, please contact the LSU Ticket Office at tickets@lsu.edu or (800)960-8587.

• The deadline to join the wait lists for the 2012 season is March 31, 2012.
To sign up for either wait list, please visit LSUtix.net, click on “Purchase Tickets”, and then click on “2012 Football Tickets and Parking”.
Thank you for your support of LSU Athletics!

* Each season ticket account will be limited to eight (8) season tickets in each of the following areas of Tiger Stadium: Sideline (100 & 300 level sections), Endzone (200 & 400 level sections), Upper Deck Chairbacks/Tiger Terrace (500 level sections & 600 level sections below rows 10 or L), Upper Deck Benches (600 level sections above rows 9 or K). Additionally, each season ticket account will be limited to a combined total of twenty (20) season tickets in the Sideline, Endzone and Upper Deck Chairbacks/Tiger Terrace. Tiger Den Suite and Stadium Club tickets are excluded from these limitations.
** Each season ticket account will be limited to one (1) season parking pass for every four (4) season tickets. Additionally, each season ticket account will be limited to a combined total of four (4) automobile season parking permits and one (1) motorhome season parking permit.

Very informative - it says 16 pts equated to 4060 rank in 2011 - wonder what it was in 2010.
